This lab uses the Wireshark Training tool from Eye House. Focus on examining Ethernet frame structure including MAC addresses, EtherTypes, and frame sizes.
Lab Focus Areas
- Ethernet II frame structure (preamble, MAC addresses, EtherType)
- Broadcast vs. unicast traffic patterns
- Common EtherType values (0x0800 IPv4, 0x0806 ARP, 0x86DD IPv6)
- Using Wireshark's "eth" display filter
